Schaffhausen’s most prestige fitness club, the Schaffhausen Hash House Harriers, or simply SH3 welcome YOU to their big 78th run & official start of the UK men only hash (hariettes are more than welcome to join):

• When: 18:30 FRIDAY, 14th May 2010
• Where: Schaffhausen train station
• Why: because you can’t possibly miss the meeting of the two big rams
• Directions/Meet-up: Go to the main entrance of the train station at Schaffhausen and look out for “SH3” flour markings on the ground.

No fewer than 25 English sails men overcame a big domestic storm and set sail for mainland Europe, made it safely across the English Channel only to arrive in foreign France. Weaving their way through an impossible network of French canals, countless locks and keepers that needed greasing, and eating funny food lost on big plates with an impressive set of cutlery to choose from, they finally face their last challenge, the Rhine Falls. No eel swimming upstream the Rhine Falls, so they say, the experts, of course, has ever been the same afterwards – exhausted, possibly trying to take a nap, they invariably meet the same fate and land, inedible, on plates of inexperienced fishermen; inadvertently and posthumously causing domestic rows.

So it would be great, if a big number turned up and helped the tired and brave men pull their vessels ashore; even if the brave men took a flight instead and the only bravery they exercised was putting up with Heathrow’s tight security measures and BA’s grumpy ground staff, or possibly another Icelandic volcano eruption. And welcome them before they are put to the real test. That’s facing SH3, their wicked trails and their endless parties, and their lethal sense of humour;-)

Some may call it a mini Hashathon, others a weekend away hash! Whatever you call it, it’s a hashing packed weekend, introducing an unheard-of Boat hash (similiar to the taxi hash, we came up with ealier this year, but more nautical) on Monday May 17th, with a beer stop hosted by hash pirate and part time looter Black Justice. Two more unmissable trails are the Rhineland exploration run on Sunday, 16th, and, even more scenic and infinitely longer, the Lake Constance Discovery Trip on Saturday, May 15th! Your SH3, The Schaffhausen Hash House Harriers, the beautiful hash daughter of the Munich Hash House Harriers (while the father is known the mother somewhat still remains a mystery. Perhaps KL, but that's only a wild guess, and very unlikely too).
